Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML) has assembled over 100 units of the "Honri-VE" electric vehicle (EV) at its local assembly plant located in Karachi. This has marked an impactful milestone in Pakistan’s electric vehicle industry, as DFML becomes one of the key players in producing EVs locally.
Recently, in a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), DFML revealed that the initial batch of 100 Honri-VE units had been delivered to Eco-Green Motors Limited for distribution to customers, highlighting the growing requirement for electric vehicles in Pakistan and the company’s commitment to meeting this demand.
DFML’s Director & Company Secretary Muhammad Hanif German said that the vehicle can be compared to popular Suzuki models like the Wagon R, Cultus, and Mehran.
Particularly, he highlighted the Honri-VE’s interior and seating capacity, while saying that it would be most appropriate to compare it with the Wagon R in terms of comfort and space.
The Honri-VE is currently available in two variants.
- Honri-VE 2.0: Provides a range of 200 km on a full charge, priced at Rs3.99 million.
- Honri-VE 3.0: Offers a range of 300 km on a full charge, priced at Rs4.99 million.
