If you are looking for something creepy, strange, and surprisingly intelligent, My Friendly Neighbourhood just hit Xbox Game Pass, and it's already creating a buzz.

This indie horror game, released in 2023, combines puzzle-solving, survival, and exploration into one neat little package. But the twist? The player is hunted by puppets. Real-life puppets, creepy, talking, childhood-ruining puppets.

My Friendly Neighbourhood features a narrative that follows Gordon, a repairman who is sent to an old production studio to fix some things.

A long time ago, it was home to a children's television show called The Friendly Neighbourhood, which was off the air long before Gordon arrived.

Then out of nowhere, the Friendly Neighbourhood has returned — broadcasting all by itself — and things have gone terribly wrong.

Players will traverse dark sets, solve clever puzzles, and survive the audience with puppet characters that have transitioned from innocent to malevolent.

The game is not gory but rather deeply unsettling in all the right ways, and it showcases an original take on the emerging mascot horror genre, including other titles such as Five Nights at Freddy's and Amanda the Adventurer.

Now available on Xbox Game Pass, My Friendly Neighbourhood is a highlight of the week, demonstrating how Game Pass successfully juggles cosy, chaotic, and cinematic experiences all at the same time.
