Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), arguably the most highly anticipated open-world game, is a year away yet cannot stop being discussed.
Since Rockstar Games dropped Trailer 2, gamers started looking for hints that could link GTA 6 to Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), and some are convinced there is a common Rockstar universe.
GTA VI and Red Dead Redemption 2 collaboration
The most recent find was done by an X (ex-Twitter) user SynthPotato, who observed that the guns featured in GTA 6's trailer are produced by "Duke."
Interestingly, the same gun maker is also featured in Red Dead Redemption 2, with the same logo. This has fuelled new speculations among fans that both games might be set in the same timeline, just separated by hundreds of years.
This isn't the first time players have discovered connections between the two universes. Previously, someone pointed out the money displayed in the trailer shared the same presidents as Red Dead Redemption 2.
One minor detail might be a cool Easter egg, but several recurring connections lead fans to believe Rockstar is throwing hints intentionally.
With GTA 6 pushed back to May of 2026, the anticipation seems like an eternity. But fans are taking this opportunity to study frame by frame every frame of the trailer. One even posted the entire trailer frame by frame so others could share in finding secrets.
