The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Friday partnered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) to advance cooperation in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) development and digital transformation.
This collaboration aims to improve PEC's operational efficiency, e-governance, transparency, and service delivery through modern technology-driven solutions.
Speaking at the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, PEC Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir stated: "This strategic cooperation marks a major milestone in PEC’s modernisation journey towards a fully digital ecosystem. The partnership will ensure transparent, efficient, and secure systems aligned with 21st-century governance and service excellence."
Under the agreement, Nadra will give technical operations management, hosting services for PEC's data, and technical application development support. Moreover, the authority will assist PEC in the preparation of software and applications, along with providing a secure digital facility for the election system.
On the same day, Nadra launched the online nikah registration service in a Union Council (UC) to assist citizens across Pakistan.
Anyone can now register their nikah in the respective UC through the Pak-ID app. Once the document is available on the platform, you can easily download the registration certificate on your smartphone.
