While the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to be delayed, rumours have indicated that it will introduce significant improvements, such as a new Exynos 2600 chip, developed using the 2nm processor.

Several fresh leaks also indicated that an announcement for the launch of the Galaxy S26 series can still take place in January or February.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra might also feature a user-accessible privacy display that adds another layer of security on top of its glare-free screen.

The improvement in cameras isn’t limited to just software upgrades this time, with wider-aperture sensors expected to improve low-light photography.

According to Samsung Mobile eXperience division Vice President Choi Won-joon, these camera updates are ready for the new flagship.

Charging speed is also expected to see an increase; reportedly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60W fast charging, up from the previous 45W standard.

Meanwhile, Samsung is extending its AI capabilities by placing predictive features atop Awesome AI and Galaxy AI. This new system may start suggesting things and tasks proactively without requiring any manual input.

The lineup is expected to remain the same, consisting of S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, with no “Pro” model entering the hierarchy, whereas the rumours of the Plus being replaced by “Edge” appear to be false.
