As electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming quite popular, the home charging solutions have become more important than ever. In today's age, Level 2 chargers are now the standard for faster, more convenient overnight charging.

However, two popular portable options in this space are the Eletronova Level 2 EV Charger and the HUSTIAN Level 2 EV Charger. Both chargers promise fast 240V charging with up to 40 amps of output, but they take very different approaches in design, flexibility, and user experience.

Gadinsider has break down which one comes out on top.

HUSTIAN Level 2 EV charger

The HUSTIAN Level 2 EV Charger is designed for users who want control and flexibility. Its standout feature is its adjustable current system, allowing you to switch between 8A, 10A, 13A, 16A, 32A, and 40A depending on your home circuit capacity.

Operating at up to 9.6 kW output, it can add around 29–36 miles of range per hour, making it suitable for overnight charging and daily top-ups.

It features a 2.8-inch TFT display, giving real-time charging data like voltage and current. With an IP66 rating and 23 ft cable, it is well-suited for both indoor and outdoor use.

However, it does require a 240V NEMA 14-50 outlet, and Tesla users will need an adapter. It also lacks compatibility with lower-powered onboard chargers in some EVs.

Eletronova Level 2 EV Charger

The Eletronova Level 2 EV Charger focuses more on durability and simplicity. Unlike most portable chargers, it features a heavy-duty metal body, making it far more rugged for long-term outdoor use.

It delivers up to 40A at 240V, offering similar charging speeds of 30–40 miles of range per hour, depending on the vehicle. Its 25 ft cable provides slightly better reach than the HUSTIAN.

Eletronova also supports plug-and-play portability with a NEMA 14-50 connection, so no hardwiring is required. It is UL-compliant and built for all-weather use.

The downside is that it has no smart features, no app control, and no adjustable current settings, making it less flexible than HUSTIAN.

Which Level 2 EV charger is better?

Both chargers are nearly identical in terms of performance. If you want a smarter charging experience with adjustable power levels and detailed monitoring, the HUSTIAN charger is the better choice.

However, if your priority is rugged build quality, long cable reach, and plug-and-play reliability, the Eletronova charger is the stronger long-term option.
