Lectron Level 2 EV Charger
The Lectron charger is designed for users who want smart charging features alongside dependable Level 2 performance.
Operating at 40 amps, it delivers up to 9.6 kW of charging power and can add approximately 30 to 35 miles of driving range per hour, depending on the vehicle.
The portable NEMA 14-50 plug also makes it easy to move between locations without permanent installation. Its main drawback is the relatively short 16-foot cable, which may not suit larger garages or driveways.
QPQ Level 2 EV Charger
The QPQ Level 2 EV Charger is aimed at drivers who value charging flexibility over smart connectivity.
Like the Lectron, it produces up to 9.6 kW of charging power, but it stands out with nine adjustable amperage settings, allowing users to select charging currents from 6A to 40A depending on their electrical setup.
Its 21-foot cable offers noticeably better reach than the Lectron, making it easier to accommodate different parking arrangements.
Which charger is the better choice?
Both chargers deliver virtually identical charging performance, but they appeal to different buyers.
If you want remote monitoring, smartphone controls, and smart scheduling, the Lectron Level 2 EV Charger is the stronger option. Its app makes everyday charging more convenient, particularly for homeowners who want to monitor charging without stepping into the garage.
However, if you prefer greater manual control, a longer cable, and adjustable charging current, the QPQ Level 2 EV Charger offers better overall value.
