Months after beta testing, Apple has finally released the much-awaited iOS 18.3 update for all iPhone users worldwide.

Alongside several bug fixes and enhancements, iOS 18.3 also brings a suite of Apple Intelligence features.

The new update is available on iOS 18-supported devices, including iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and Apple Silicon-powered iPads and Macs.

Notification summaries in iOS 18.3

The iOS 18.3 update temporarily disabled notification summaries for news and entertainment apps after the BBC raised concerns about the incorrect summary of one of its stories. However, the users will be notified once the feature is restored.

The summaries now include italicised text to distinguish them from regular notifications better, and users can manage notification settings directly from the Lock Screen.

Visual Intelligence in iOS 18.3

Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18.3 also include Visual Intelligence, which allows users to add events to their Calendar app directly from images, such as posters or flyers.

The update has also added tools to identify plants and animals by capturing images with iPhone 16 models.

Moreover, on Macs, the update has added Genmoji support. It also includes several bug fixes such as it has resolved the issues with the iPhone’s Calculator app.
