In the wake of the government's push to normalise cryptocurrencies and virtual assets, Binance Academy has partnered with Pakistan's IT ministry to promote blockchain education in the country.
The primary objective of the collaboration is to support 300 educators and 80,000 students in 20 universities by 2026.
Under this initiative, professors will be provided with educational resources to empower students in well-known Pakistani universities, which will result in a strong pipeline of blockchain talent.
The noteworthy development is that this partnership is an expansion of the Global University Outreach Program (GUOP), the largest Web3 educational initiative launched by Binance Academy and the Blockchain & AI Technology Center (BAITC).
The programme will be focused on integrating blockchain education into university curricula worldwide.
Bader Al Kalooti, Binance's head of growth and operations for MEASA, stated: “As blockchain reshapes the global financial landscape, empowering people with the right skills is essential to unlocking its potential.”
State Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja also expressed support for the cause in question, saying: “This partnership marks an important milestone in the country’s digital transformation... we are equipping our students with cutting-edge knowledge, preparing them to shape the future of the digital economy.”
This initiative is believed to prepare a generation of blockchain professionals, ultimately establishing Pakistan to be a global source of skilled talent in the digital economy.
