After the launch of the Galaxy S23 series in February this year, rumours have been circulating that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is set to come out in January 2024.
The upcoming lineup is expected to comprise the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models.
A renowned tipster has disclosed the available RAM options for the Galaxy S24 models on the X (formerly Twitter).
According to Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), a renowned speculator, Samsung is likely to offer the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, while the vanilla Galaxy S24 model is expected to feature 8GB of RAM, Gadgets360 quoted the tipster.
The tipster also claimed that a 16GB RAM option is not going to be a part of the Galaxy S24 series.
While leaked design renders and other key details about the handsets had also surfaced online, rumours are pointing at the appearance of the Galaxy S24 Ultra on Geekbench, wherein it featured a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM.
In addition to that, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, identified by the model number SM-S928N, obtained safety certification from the Korea Testing and Research Institute on November 20th, according to a recent report published by Newstomato (a Korean news outlet).
12GB RAM with 256GB and 8GB RAM with 128GB are the two configurations expected in this model. Another variant, the base Galaxy S24, was spotted on Geekbench, sporting Samsung's proprietary Exynos 2400 SoC and 8GB of RAM.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S24 series has been identified on the FCC website with 5G and NFC connectivity, as reported by MySmartPrice. The Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models are noted to include UWB support. The Samsung Galaxy S24+ listed on the site with model number SM-S926U suggests potential 25W wired charging support.
