In yet another exciting development, the renowned publisher PUBG: Battlegrounds, has announced its partnership with Pocketpair to bring Palworld to mobile devices.
Palworld is a popular open-world survival game where players explore the vast Palpagos Islands, catching and taming creatures known as "Pals." Often dubbed "Pokémon with guns," Palworld has captured the hearts of millions of gamers worldwide.
Krafton to develop Palworld mobile
Krafton, which developed and published PUBG: Battlegrounds, has acquired the license to build the mobile version of Palworld.
This move comes despite an ongoing lawsuit from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are still against the Palworld's developer, Pocketpair.
Krafton will ensure that core gameplay elements of Palworld are optimised for mobile in a way that they offer seamless experiences.
The relevant expertise of the company in mobile games, this time proved it by PUBG Mobile's success in 2018, will benefit the transition of Palworld.
Nintendo lawsuit
Last month, the company Nintendo together with The Pokémon Company filed a patent infringement complaint against Pocketpair. Pocketpair reportedly expressed that they did not know which patents were infringed.
Palworld sold millions of copies for its January PC and Xbox release, capturing many players with the unique blend of exploration and creature-catching. A PlayStation 5 version has launched, but it remains indefinitely delayed in Japan.
Additionally, Krafton is set to collaborate with Pocketpair in what would represent a significant growth for the company into mobile gaming. With Palworld's mobile version, Krafton will gain access to the large market of mobile gaming.
