The Punjab government has finalised all the plans to introduce electric bus services in ten more cities of the province.

The new electric bus routes will start operating in Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujar Khan, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, and Bahawalpur, giving locals an eco-friendly and effective way to get around.

On November 19, Punjab's chief minister, Maryam Nawaz, will inaugurate the 200 electric buses that have arrived in these cities.

The Punjab government has already put electric buses into service in Lahore and ten other cities, carrying close to 120,000 passengers every day, according to the transport minister.

In order to further improve the province's transport infrastructure, the government intends to extend public transport services to additional cities in the upcoming phase, the spokesperson continued.

It is anticipated that this action will help locals, lessen pollution, and create a cleaner environment.

The introduction of electric bus services in these cities will improve the general standard of living for citizens, stimulate the local economy, and generate job opportunities.

The future of public transportation in Punjab appears more promising than ever due to the government's dedication to environmentally friendly transportation.
