Samsung releases Galaxy A73 system update, evades security vulnerabilities

In a bid to keep up wit its assurance of ensuring privacy and security in its flagship smartphone lineups, Samsung has released the much-awaited security update for the Galaxy A73.

As of now, the latest Galaxy A73 system update is only been accessible in Turkey, while its release for other regions, mainly Europe, is expected in the next few days.

However, those residing outside these regions are advised to keep checking on their devices as the latest patch will shortly land in other countries as well.

The latest firmware version A736BXXS6DXA1, which is less than 500MB in size, has been released to address more than 75 security vulnerabilities that were discovered in the previous patch. This update will significantly improve the security of the Galaxy A73 smartphone. 

Samsung launched the Galaxy A73 in early 2022 with Android 12, and has committed to providing four years of Android updates for it. The phone has already received the Android 13 and 14 updates, and is expected to receive the Android 15 and 16 updates in the future. 

Galaxy A73 specifications

The Galaxy A73 5G features a 6.7-inch Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution. It is equipped with a quad camera system, including a 108MP primary lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 5MP depth unit, as well as a 32MP front camera. 

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G octa-core SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage, and has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging technology.
