Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior’s Absher Business platform has announced updated fees for seven services offered to establishments.
Foreign workers, including those from Pakistan, are said to promptly renew their residency permits or Iqama upon expiration, as having an invalid Iqama can lead to complications.
Saudi Arabia updated visa fees
The fee for extending an exit and reentry visa now costs SR103.5. Renewing a residency permit (Iqama) and issuing a final exit visa will be priced at SR51.75 and SR70.
Moreover, the fee for issuing an Iqama is SR51.75 while requesting an employee report is SR28.75, and updating expatriates’ passport information is SR69.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Absher Business confirmed that these charges apply to value-added services facilitated through its platform and are not included in the employer’s annual subscription package.
However, the Absher Individuals platform has launched a new service, letting users report cases of absconding for individuals on visitor visas. Notably, there are five conditions applied.
- The visitor must hold a personal or family visit visa.
- Reports can be filed only 7–14 days after the visa’s expiration.
- The visit visa status must be expired.
- Only one report is allowed per visitor.
- Reports cannot be cancelled once submitted.
The Absher platform continues to extend its services, improving accessibility. The revised Iqama fee structure shows the Saudi government’s efforts to streamline its services for this significant expatriate community.
