Silent Hill 2 Remake continues the franchise's tradition of replayability with the New Game Plus mode. For those not afraid of nightmares, players can revisit the haunting town, confront nightmare-inducing creatures, and unravel the mysteries once more.

What is Silent Hill 2 Remake?

Silent Hill 2 Remake is a survival horror game by Konami, but this time, the gamer takes the role of James Sunderland seeking his wife in the creepy town of Silent Hill. It's a mix of various elements together-blends of psychological horror and puzzle-solving with intense combat.

Silent Hill 2 Remake New Game Plus mode changes 

To unlock New Game Plus from your game you need to complete it at least once. Here’s what it offers:

  • You will gather resources, weapons, and collectables from scratch.
  • Get the ultimate Chainsaw, an overusable melee weapon.
  • Experience all eight endings, some including from the original Silent Hill 2, and two new ones.
  • Apply 10 filters to change the game's appearance and feel.

New Game Plus mode in Silent Hill 2 Remake allows getting a few items and notes that are hidden in accessible stores and locations to unlock new endings.

Silent Hill 2 Remake filters 

Silent Hill 2's New Game Plus mode offers 10 editable filters the player can change to affect the visual look and, thus, atmosphere of the game.

  1. Default: Original look
  2. 90s: Retro aesthetic with vignette effect
  3. Pixelate: Pixelated graphics with colour distortion
  4. Black and White: Monochrome visuals
  5. Black and White vs Red: Black and white with red accents
  6. VHS: Distressed VHS tape look
  7. Old CRT: Old monitor aesthetic
  8. Outline-Posterise: Graphic novel-style outlines
  9. Green LUT: Green-tinted visuals
  10. Red Dithering: Red-dominated colour palette.
