Effective from December 21, the monthly cost of X Premium+ has increased by 37.5% to $22 in the US, up from the previous rate of $16.

Moreover, the annual subscription cost has been increased to $229, a significant jump from the original price of $168.

This price increase has also affected international markets, with the EU seeing a rise to EUR 21 per month from EUR 16, while Canada experienced an increase with Premium+ rates jumping to CAD 29 from CAD 20.

Nigeria has also faced a staggering price hike from NGN 7,300 to NGN 34,000 per month.

According to X, the price adjustment is necessary to support the high-quality experience offered to Premium+ subscribers.

However, the existing subscribers will be exempt from the price hike until January 20, 2025, after which they will be transitioned to the new rates.
