Apple's latest event, "It's Glowtime," introduced a whole host of exciting new hardware releases, including the iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Series 10. But alongside those more visible releases were three new versions of its AirPods: AirPods 4, AirPods 4 with ANC, and updated AirPods Max.
Where to preorder AirPods 4 and new AirPods Max
You can pre-order the AirPods 4 for $129 and the AirPods 4 with ANC for $179 directly from Apple right now. The former AirPods will go on sale September 20th, while the latter ships a week later. You can also pre-order the new AirPods Max in midnight, blue, purple, orange and starlight for $549.
AirPods 4: Better sound and spatial audio
The new AirPods 4 have better-sounding audio and include spatial audio with head tracking. These are a very good option if you want a base-model upgrade to wireless earbuds.
AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Advanced features
The fancier version of AirPods 4 features active noise cancellation, a wireless charging case that supports Qi and Apple Watch pads, too, and a speaker in the case for easier location tracking.
New colours join refreshed AirPods Max with the addition of a USB-C instead of the Lightning port, and you can listen to your jams in style for $549.
