The Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer set the internet ablaze, but here's a hot take: Elon Musk won't be reaching for a copy when it hits shelves in 2025.

The Tesla tycoon and X boss openly admitted he couldn't get into the massively successful GTA 5, boasting 190 million copies sold since 2015, simply because he's not into "playing the bad guy."

"(I) tried, but didn't like doing crime," Musk shared on X.

"GTA5 required shooting police officers in the opening scene. Just couldn't do it," he said.

The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer dropped a day early due to a social media leak. Rockstar's wildly popular series is renowned for its intense violence and organised crime-centric storylines. The upcoming instalment, taking place in a Miami-inspired Vice City, promises a 2025 release.

Musk's aversion to simulated violence contrasts sharply with recent controversy. From his SpaceX role, Musk's fiery response to advertisers fleeing X — "go screw yourselves," he said bluntly at the New York Times' Dealbook conference — has fueled public debates.
