The Pixel Fold is Google’s very own folding phone released in June of 2023. The phone weighs a heft 283g, with a 7.6 inches unfolded display and 5.8 inches cover display size. The device has glass back (Gorilla Glass Victus), aluminium frame, glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus/folded), and a plastic unfolded front. The body is protected by IPX8 water resistance technology.

The large display can output 1840 x 2208 pixels of resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, with 1000nits (HBM) and 1450nits max brightness. The panel type is OLED for both the unfolded and cover display. The cover display can produce 1080 x 2092 pixels, with 1200nits (HBM) and 1550nits peak brightness.

The device runs Android 13 (upgradeable to Android 14), which is run by Google Tensor G2 chipset, harbouring an octa-core processor that has a max clock count of 2.85GHz. This chipset comes with Mali-G710 GPU. The storage and RAM on offer are 256GB, 12GB and 512GB, 12GB, with no support for storage expansion.

The main camera at the rear has three lenses: a 48MP wide angle lens (OIS, Laser AF, and dual-pixel PDAF enabled), a 10.8MP telephoto lens (5x optical zoom), and another 10.8MP ultrawide lens. Videos can be recorded at 4K, 30/60fps, and 1080p, 30-240fps. Dual-LED flash and HDR are some of the supporting camera features. On the front is mounted an 8MP lens and a 9.5MP lens on the cover display. Videos can be shot at 4K, 30/60fps and 1080p 30/60fps.

The Pixel Fold draws power from a Li-Po battery with 4821mAh capacity. The battery can be charged either by a USB Type-C charger or a wireless a charging device. Miscellaneous features include: fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, and Ultra Wideband support.

The phone comes in Porcelain and Obsidian colours.
