The developer of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 parody game has officially announced its release on Steam in July 2025, following its removal from the PlayStation Store.

Originally launched on PlayStation in December 2024, the parody game caused confusion among gaming enthusiasts due to its title, “GTA 6,” leading many to believe it was associated with Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated release.

In reality, Grand Taking Ages VI is a game development simulator that allows players to manage a virtual game studio while navigating the challenges faced during the game development process.

It remains unclear whether Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive were involved in the decision to remove the parody game from PlayStation’s platform. However, the developer, Violarte, has revamped the game for its upcoming Steam release and removed the “VI” from its title to avoid further issues.

The Steam version of the game will include updated screenshots, a new trailer, and an enhanced description. Violarte also confirmed working closely with Steam’s team to ensure the game complies with their policies before submission.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has officially announced that GTA 6 will launch in autumn 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The move to Steam has been welcomed by fans of the parody game, who are eagerly awaiting the updated version’s release.
