The new Xbox console exclusive game, Mecha Break, is quickly rising in popularity for July 2025. The fast-paced multiplayer game developed by Chinese studio Amazing Seasun Games launched on July 1st on Xbox Series X/S and PC and is completely free to play.

Mecha Break is a multiplayer mech game where players mainly battle against one another (PVP) in short match formats. Players choose from customisable battle mechs and then fight against other players in action-packed arenas.

The game will be coming to PlayStation 5 later this year, but for now, it is a console exclusive on Xbox.

Since Mecha Break launched, the game has performed well. On Steam, shortly after launch, the game had over 133,000 concurrent players and has daily peak player numbers still around 50,000.

Currently, the game is ranked in the top 50 highest played on Steam and sits comfortably in the top 35 most played games on Xbox and the Microsoft Store for PC.

While player numbers are strong, first impressions are mixed. Mecha Break has a 3.5-star rating on the Xbox Store from over 1,000 reviews and on Steam has a "Mixed" rating from more than 16,000 users overall.

Players love the smooth combat, visuals, and deep customisation, but some are frustrated by high-priced skins, a grindy battle pass, and the lack of a full PvE mode.
