Xbox is making it easier for players to pick back up on their favourite games no matter what device they’re playing on. The company announced on Thursday that it will be rolling out cross-device play history too, a feature that will connect players' recently played games across Xbox consoles, PC, handheld devices and cloud gaming access.
This new update means gamers' recent games list will remain consistent across platforms. If players switch from an Xbox Series X to a handheld like the ASUS ROG Ally or if players decide to hop onto the Xbox PC app, they will be able to see the same recently played titles, so that players can pick up exactly where they left off playing.
This feature, which was being tested with Xbox Insiders last month, also expands to include cloud-playable games.
According to the Xbox blog post, "That means every cloud-enabled title, from original Xbox classics to Xbox Series X|S exclusives, is now in one place whether you own it or played it through Xbox Game Pass."
On consoles, players can find the synced list through the “Play history” tile on the home page. On PC, the same information appears in the Xbox app under the “Play history” tab below the “Most Recent” section, as well as in the game library.
