If you're a Pixel 10 user who is looking for ways to play pc games from Steam on your smartphone, don't worry, as as Google has introduced support for offline gameplay.

The company has provided initial support for the Pixel 10's PowerVR GPU, letting Pixel users run games from the Steam storefront more reliably on their handset.

What does GameNative v0.9.0 offer?

GameNative v0.9.0 (pre-release) version includes PowerVR GPU support, which is present on the Tensor G5 chipset in the Pixel 10, which means that Steam games can be easily played on the phone.

Pixel 10 users can now run titles like Stardew Valley and Hades via emulation. Apart from this, GameNative v0.9.0 brings support for desktop environments such as Samsung DeX and similar OEM desktop modes. There is also improved navigation using a mouse and keyboard, along with better compatibility for external peripherals.

Players who are connecting their phone to an external monitor may have a more refined experience compared to the previous version of the emulator.

How to set up GameNative on Pixel 10?

To set up GameNative v0.9.0, you’ll have to install it manually. It’s not on the Play Store, so you need to download the Android Package Kit (APK) from its GitHub page.

After installing it, you can connect your Steam account and try running supported games. The setup isn’t complicated, but it might take a few minutes if you haven’t installed apps this way before.

The update includes several usability enhancements. There is a new carousel-style user interface, integration of Steam Workshop, and support for different Steam branches.

Users will also get dedicated pages for managing downloads and storage, as well as an option to disable cloud saves on a per-game basis.

Pixel users will also see a new battery temperature metric in the performance overlay for more insight into thermal behaviour during extended sessions.
