Apple's forthcoming flagship iPhone 17 lineup including the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17, are reportedly to launch with significant upgrades to the Dynamic Island by September.
However, this latest claim contradicts previous reports suggesting that Apple is likely to minimise the size of the Dynamic Island, equipped with the front camera, and other sensors utilised for advanced features such as Face ID, and more.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a credible analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo said that he expects the Cupertino-based tech giant to keep the size of the Dynamic Island "largely unchanged" on the forthcoming flagship iPhone 17 lineup.
The recent claim contradicts a previous report made in July 2024 by another analyst, Jeff Pu, who claimed that Dynamic Island is likely to adopt a “metalens” technology for the proximity sensor in this top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max version.
Several reports suggested that Apple is preparing to integrate the iPhone SE 4 with a body that resembles the iPhone 14, but includes the Dynamic Island feature rather than a display notch. The platform’s successor to the iPhone SE (2022) is likely to be launched with significant upgrades to the camera, chipsets, and screen, supporting cutting-edge Apple Intelligence and Face ID.
