After a lot of rumours on social media platforms, Google has finally launched its most anticipated Pixel 10a globally, bringing a new experience.
Alphabet-owned tech giant, in a blog post, said: "Pixel 10a is made with the most recycled material of any A-series Pixel yet, including for the first time recycled cobalt, copper, gold and tungsten. It has a satin-finish 100% recycled aluminium frame and an 81% recycled plastic back cover."
However, it is important to note that the Pixel 10a is the same as last year’s Pixel 9a in terms of specs. The Pixel 10a debuts a reimagined colour story, blending a sophisticated palette with a bold new energy for the season.
What's new in Pixel 10a?
The Pixel 10a comes with a IP68 water and dust protection and durable materials, with an upgraded Corning Gorilla Glass 7i cover glass on the display it’s exceptionally designed to deliver improved durability for better scratch and drop resistance.
Moreover, the device features a 6.3-inch Actua display, which shows your photos and videos more vibrant even in direct sunlight so that you don't have a bad experience.
The Pixel 10a — powered by custom-built Google Tensor G4 chip, giving you total access to Gemini — offers you more than 30 hours of battery life and up to 120 with Extreme Battery Saver turned on, as the device comes with a 5,100 mAh battery.
"Pixel users will get seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drops. And for added peace of mind, we’re bringing Satellite SOS to the A-series for the first time, so you can connect with emergency services even when you’re without Wi-Fi or cellular service," said Google.
Pixel 10a camera
The Pixel 10a comes with some of the most popular photos tools, available to the A-series for the first time:
- Auto Best Take helps make sure everyone in a group photo looks their best with a single shutter press. Pixel automatically analyzes multiple frames to find the perfect shot.
- Camera Coach uses Gemini models to give you step-by-step guidance on lighting and composition, helping you take better pictures and become a better photographer.
However, the camera hardware remains unchanged, as the Pixel 10a includes a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide lens, allowing you to capture crisp details up close with 'Macro Focus' and in low light with 'Night Sight'.
Pixel 10a price in Pakistan (expected)
The price of Pixel 10a is set at $499 (approx Rs1,39,595), available at the Google and major carriers from March 5. The Pixel 10a is offered in four colours, including:
- Lavender.
- Berry.
- Fog.
- Obsidian.
Pixel users can purchase phone cases in Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian so that users can match their case to their phone.
