Realme on Tuesday launched its new smartphone series, named 'Realme 16 series 5G', in Pakistan, designed to deliver a powerful and well-rounded smartphone experience.
The company said that the Realme 16 series comprises Realme 16 5G, Realme 16 Pro, and Realme 16 Pro+. The lineup introduces features like AI LightMe, AI StyleMe, and Vibe Master Mode. It runs on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16.
Realme 16 series 5G specs
The Realme 16 5G targets users who are looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with core features. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, detailed specs are more limited, the device still carries the series identity. It focuses on balanced performance, modern design, and 5G connectivity.
Meanwhile, the Realme 16 Pro+ stands at the top of the series with a refined design and stronger hardware, as the Pro+ variant comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches 1800 nits brightness in HBM mode. It also carries a 1.5K resolution of 1280 x 2800p.
The Realme 16 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with 2.8GHz processor. The device features a large 7000mAh Si/C battery with 80W fast charging.
On the camera side, the Pro+ model boasts a 200MP main sensor with OIS. It also includes a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x zoom and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The setup supports multiple focal lengths for flexible shooting. On the selfie camera, the company has featured a 50MP camera.
On the other hand, the Pro variant gives Realme users a similar experience with a few changes to keep the price lower. It comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display.
It is important to note before purchasing Realme 16 Pro that brightness drops slightly to 1400 nits in HBM mode. The design uses a plastic build and slightly more rounded corners.
The 16 Pro model is powered by the Dimensity 7300 Max processor. It delivers solid mid-range performance but sits below the Pro+ variant. The phone comes with the same 7000mAh battery with 80W charging.
For cameras, the Realme 16 Pro uses a 200MP main sensor and 8MP ultrawide camera is also included, providing users a better photography experience. The front camera remains 50MP.
Other shared features include an IP69K rating, WiFi 6, dual speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
