Putting an end to the relief streak it was building during the previous sessions, the federal government of Pakistan announced on Tuesday that it would keep petrol prices unchanged for the next fortnight.
Surprisingly, the finance division in a notification announced an increment in the price of high-speed diesel by Rs5 per litre. The new rate of high-speed diesel is Rs251.29 per litre.

Conversely, the latest petrol price with new adjustment now stands at Rs247.03 per litre.
It should be noted that during the previous fuel price adjustment round on September 30, the government had reduced the petrol prices by Rs2.7, high-speed diesel by Rs3.40, and light-speed diesel by Rs1.3 per litre.
