LG Display, a South Korean display technology manufacturer and supplier, just dropped an impeccable marvel in the sphere of OLED displays, bringing something that graphic enthusiasts weren’t expecting to come out so soon.

Smoothest runtime

With a 27-inch display, 1440p panel, speedy 0.03ms response time, and 480Hz refresh rate, this new OLED display has all that it takes to wear the crown of the best high-end gaming monitor, and that is what makes it the fastest OLED display ever.

Though it offers a refresh rate identical to the one sported in LG’s 32-inch OLED “Dual-Hz” gaming monitor that it launched in December, the pixel quality needed to exploit this impressive speed is 1080, which means that you may have to slightly reduce the display’s visual appeal.

Comparison with UHD Resolution Monitors

The new display technology takes LG for a head-on bout with its own, but different, panel which offers a slightly lower 460Hz refresh rate and a 1440p resolution. In short, it outperforms the capabilities of LG's UHD panels with Resolution Monitors technology.

Integration with LG’s META Technology feature

As per the manufacturer’s claim, the panel has been integrated in its META Technology feature, which ensures better brightness and wider viewing angles, while emitting the “lowest level of blue light in the industry.”

LG’s OLED display panel’s release

It remains uncertain at this point whether gaming companies will embrace LG Display's latest panel. LG Display is set to launch its 27-inch OLED 480Hz panel in the first half of this year and intends to showcase its complete range of OLED gaming displays, varying in size from 27 to 45 inches, during CES 2024.
