
MediaTek Dimensity 6400 unveiled as the company’s latest chipset for reasonable handsets. The new processor is essentially a rebranded variant of the Dimensity 6300 chipset from 2024, featuring enhanced performance cores for improved overall performance.
The recently launched Dimensity 6400 has bought Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's (TSMC) 6nm process technology, supporting up to 108MP camera, and a 120Hz Full-HD screen, offering 5G connectivity.
MediaTek Dimensity 6400 specs
The latest Dimensity 6400 is an octa-core 6nm processor consisting of two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz.
In addition, it is powered by the same Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, offering a smooth and intuitive visual experience.
Similar to its predecessor, the latest MediaTek Dimensity 6400 consists of up to full-HD AMOLED screens featuring 1,080×2,520 pixels resolution displays with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 6400 is powered by a 3GPP Release-16 compliant 5G modem, offering 5G (SA/ NSA), 4G LTE, 3G and 2G connectivity. For connectivity, the processor includes Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2, and dual-band GPS connectivity.
Notably, the highly anticipated Realme P3x 5G will be the first phone in India to debut with Dimensity 6400 on February 18.
