MediaTek has achieved a clean sweep in the October 2025 AnTuTu mid-range smartphone performance rankings, with all ten positions occupied by MediaTek-powered phones.
For the very first time, no Qualcomm Snapdragon devices have made it to the top 10, indicating a major shift in the arena of mid-tier smartphones.
At the core of MediaTek has reached its level of success is the Dimensity 8400 series, the brand's 4nm chip platform that has positioned "mid-range" performance as fundamentally redefined.
AnTuTu mid-range ranking
Three of the top three devices, the Realme Neo 7 SE, iQOO Z10 Turbo, and Vivo Y300 GT, all with Dimensity 8400 chips, all scored on average 1.9 million points on AnTuTu, with AnTuTu's official report declaring the top result of 1,931,641 points by the Realme Neo 7 SE, followed by iQOO Z10 Turbo (1,915,499), and Vivo Y300 GT (1,909,184).
These findings clearly demonstrate the architectural strengths of the Dimensity 8400, as they apply to CPU scheduling, GPU optimisation, and thermal management, which all support substantial energy efficiency and sustained performance.
The rest of the list is rife with Oppo and Vivo's sub-brands that are also powered by various Dimensity 8400 chip models. Qualcomm's Snapdragon distinguished itself from the rankings for the first time, especially those that require at least 1,000 valid benchmark tests per model to be considered.
Analysts in the industry suggest that MediaTek's continued focus on true innovation in mid-range chip engineering is paying off, while Qualcomm has stood its ground on flagship devices, such as Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Although benchmark results don’t always reflect real-world performance, MediaTek’s complete dominance shows its ability to deliver flagship-level power at affordable prices, a combination that’s redefining the global mid-range smartphone segment.
