Meta is upgrading its affiliate link features on Facebook, providing creators with more opportunities to monetise their content.
With this update, the social media giant offers an opportunity for creators and businesses to maximise their promotions and drive sales.
Affiliate links on Facebook
Previously, on Facebook, affiliate links were limited to appearing as simple URLs in captions. However, this update marks a significant shift in how these partnerships are presented.
Now, Meta has made affiliate links more prominent across various post types, including Reels, videos, photos, and text posts. The affiliate links are being displayed within Reels, placing them at the bottom of the user interface.
Additionally, Meta has introduced a new format for affiliate links in text posts, along with improvements to their display in the comment section.
The social media giant has also introduced an auto-detection system for affiliate links from selected domains.
Now, when an affiliate link is detected, creators will receive a reminder to use the "paid partnership" label.
These updates have begun rolling out globally to all Pages and Professional Profiles on Facebook.
