At its annual developer conference 2025, Meta, in partnership with Oakley, launched a new AI-powered smart glasses, the “Oakley Meta Vanguard,” tailored for runners, cyclists, and other athletes.
Meta noted that the smart glasses feature a large unified front lens, which can capture video in up to 3K resolution and feature a 12MP camera with a 122-degree wide-angle lens.

The Oakley Meta Vanguard smart glasses sport a programmable button that can trigger a custom AI prompt, which you can set up using the Meta AI app.
According to Meta, all of the buttons on the smart glasses are located underneath to allow athletes to wear helmets comfortably while using them.
Regarding battery timing, Meta stated that the newly launched smart glasses offer up to nine hours of battery life or up to six hours of continuous music playback. Users can quickly charge the glasses to 50% in 20 minutes via the charging case.
The wraparound design of the glasses features Oakley PRIZMTM Lens technology, which is designed to block out sun, wind, and dust.
Athletes can ask the smart glasses for stats such as their heart rate and pace while running, cycling, or participating in other activities.
The glasses are available in four frame and lens colours: Oakley Meta Vanguard Black with PRIZMTM 24K, Oakley Meta Vanguard White with PRIZMTM Black, Oakley Meta Vanguard Black with PRIZMTM Road, and Oakley Meta Vanguard White with PRIZMTM Sapphire.
Oakley Meta Vanguard will be available in the United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Meta plans to launch the glasses in Mexico, India, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan later this year.

The price of Oakley Meta Vanguard smart glasses is $499 (approx. Rs141,737) in Pakistan, and it will be available on October 21 globally.
