The buzz around the Rebel Moon on Netflix has apparently mounted significantly for seeming to be a simulation of Diablo 4.
The game was announced very recently and has garnered significant traction from the likes of both gaming enthusiasts and those with a knack for movies.
Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game is a standalone action video game, and besides bearing resemblance to the classic Diablo 4, the top-down action game lets players form alliances online with multiplayer playing in the same lobby to dismantle enemies.
Similar to the rest of Netflix's gaming catalogue, it will remain exclusive to mobile and only to Netflix subscribers via the Netflix app. Those eager to try the game now can sign up for the beta version.
The core narrative of the game involves opting for one between the following four classes based on characters we see in movies:
- Bannerguard
- Evoker
- Kindred
- Forsaken
Out of the aforementioned four, the Bannerguard is the player's high-damage tank, while Kindred is long-range. But when players are prone to endure damage with dual-wielding weapons, they better make the most of the Forsaken. And at last, the Evoker serves as the healer and an assisting character.
According to Netflix, each of these will have “unique backstories” and “specific Motherworld-vanquishing motivations,” elements that will emulate what players will get with the characters watching the movies.
“And then when updates come in, it’s not just, ‘Oh, this one is always better,’ but it’s a new kind of piece to your puzzle and how you want to mix them up so they won’t just be the next thing that’s bigger and stronger, but it’ll actually be a different spice, as it were, to put into the recipes of your loadout,” said Super Evil Megacorp design director Robert Gallerani.
