OnePlus is officially set to launch a new smartphone, named the OnePlus 15R, adding it in the R series lineup, with key upgrades to provide users with a better experience.

The company stated that the upcoming device will feature the best selfie camera ever used in its R series lineup. While that claim sets a modest benchmark, the hardware improvements are still notable for this segment.

OnePlus 15R features

The OnePlus 15R comes with a 32MP selfie camera, doubling the resolution of the 13R’s 16MP sensor. It should be noted that the selfie camera will include autofocus, which will give you more control over the photography.

This feature stands as rare outside flagship phones, marking a meaningful step forward for the R series, giving a smooth, improved photography, along with videography experience.

If you want to record any scene or shoot anything, then you can record 4K video at 30fps using its front camera. That is a clear upgrade over the 1080p limit on the previous model. OnePlus has also confirmed that the phone uses the same DetailMax Engine found in the OnePlus 15.

The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC and features a 165Hz AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It is equipped with a large 7,400 mAh battery, positioning the device as a performance-focused option ahead of its official launch.

OnePlus 15R launch

The OnePlus 15R's specifications are already public, still, the device shapes up as a strong upgrade for users seeking speed, display quality, and better front-facing cameras.
