
Oppo, the Chinese smartphone maker, has launched a new tablet called the Oppo Pad Air 2. The tablet is a successor to the Oppo Pad Air which was released in 2022. The Oppo Pad Air 2 features a 10.5-inch OLED display, a Snapdragon 870 processor, a quad-speaker system, and a 7,000mAh battery.
The tablet also supports 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. The Oppo Pad Air 2 is priced at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 15,000) and is available for sale in China from November 25, 2023.
Oppo Pad Air 2: Design and display
The Oppo Pad Air 2 has a sleek and elegant design with a metal body and a thin bezel. The tablet measures 245.4x172.8x5.8mm and weighs 485 grams. The tablet comes in two colour options: Starry Night Black and Misty Blue.
This device has a 10.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and a DCI-P3 colour gamut. The display also has an in-screen fingerprint scanner and an eye protection mode.
Oppo Pad Air 2: Performance and battery
The Oppo Pad Air 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which is an octa-core chipset with a clock speed of up to 3.2GHz. The processor is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The tablet runs on ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12.
The Oppo Pad Air 2 has a 7,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. The tablet also supports reverse charging, which allows it to charge other devices. The Oppo Pad Air 2 claims to offer up to 10 hours of video playback, 12 hours of web browsing, or 15 hours of reading on a single charge.
Camera and audio
The Oppo Pad Air 2 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus. The camera supports 4K video recording, HDR, panorama, and AI scene recognition.
The tablet also has an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.4 aperture and fixed focus. The front camera supports 1080p video recording, face unlock, and AI beautification. The Oppo Pad Air 2 has a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. The tablet also has four microphones with noise cancellation and voice enhancement.
Connectivity and other features
The Oppo Pad Air 2 supports 5G connectivity, which enables faster and smoother internet access. The tablet also supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo.
