PIA launches direct flights from Lahore to Baku

PIA's new air route is expected to strengthen travel, tourism, and trade ties between the two countries

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced direct flights from Lahore to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, starting April 20, 2025. 

According to PIA, two weekly flights will operate on this route. Flights will leave from Lahore to Baku every Sunday and Wednesday.

This new air route will further cement travel, tourism, and trade relations between the two nations.

An exclusive launch ceremony was organised in Karachi to brief media personnel, travel agents, and tour operators on the new Baku flights.

Additionally, PIA officials provided complete details regarding the new route and how it would prove to be beneficial for both nations. They indicated that the assistance of travel agents would be a key factor in the success of this new business.

Baku is turning out to be a favourite destination for Pakistanis due to its scenic views, cultural exposure, and friendly visa policy.

PIA declared that it is on board to ensure the Lahore–Baku flights are commercially successful. The airline believes this move will bring more tourists and business travelers to both nations.
