PIA resumes direct Dubai-to-Skardu flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched its direct flight service from Dubai to Skardu on Friday in order to make the Gilgit-Baltistan region more accessible to international travellers.

The flight represents a new beginning for tourists who want to experience the majestic beauty of the Skardu region, which is often described as the gateway to the Himalayas. 

Notably, the region is known for its snow-capped peaks, peaceful lakes, and rich heritage, which attracts mountaineers, adventure seekers, and nature enthusiasts from all over the world.

At the PIA office in Dubai, a small ceremony was held where officials and passengers acknowledged the new route. The ceremony included H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai. 

Moreover, a welcome message from PIA’s Regional Manager Sarmad Aizaz and a statement that his team was welcoming foreign tourists and was committed to strengthening connectivity and supporting tourism to northern Pakistan.
