The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G was released in June, 2022. It comes in a plastic frame and back and glass front panel. The TFT LCD display has a refresh rate of 90Hz and can output 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution on a 6.6 inches screen. The phone weighs around 203g.
The chipset is Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 octa-core processor, which claims max clock frequency of 2.2GHz. The chip is paired with Mali-G57 GPU. The processor is supported by a range of RAM and storage options, the highest of which goes up to 8GB and 128GB, respectively. The storage can be expanded via a micro SD card.
The rear of the device is fitted with a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor, with LED flash and HDR support for all. The videos can be shot at 1152p and 30fps. The front camera has a mere 8MP lens, which can shoot 1080p, 30fps videos. There’s no HDR or LED support for the front camera.
The phone comes with a non-removable Li-Po 5,000 mAh battery, chargeable via a 15W USB Type-C cable. Other features include side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro sensor, proximity sensor, and compass.
The phone comes in gray, white, mint, and violet colours.
