Samsung is working on the Galaxy A26, a new mid-range smartphone for the Galaxy A-series, which is set to debut as a successor to the Galaxy A25.

The device recently received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This mid-range device is expected to debut in India before expanding to other Asian markets.

According to the BIS listing, the Galaxy A26 with the model code SM-A266B/DS will support dual SIM functionality.

While BIS certification does not reveal further details about the device, previous leaks and benchmark listings have offered a glimpse of its key specifications.

Galaxy A26 specs (expected)

The Samsung Galaxy A26 is expected to sport a 6.64-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, potentially surpassing its predecessor, the Galaxy A25.

The Galaxy A26 will likely measure 164 x 77.5 x 7.7 mm and its design might not see significant upgrades.

The Galaxy A26 is rumoured to be powered by an Exynos 1280 chipset, similar to the Galaxy A33.

Additionally, the handset is expected to run on Android 15, with the company’s latest One UI 7.0, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

While the Galaxy A26 is anticipated to feature a triple-camera setup on the back, these details are tentative and might differ from exact camera details after the smartphone is launched.
