Samsung Galaxy A72 is Samsung’s top of the line phone other than its flagship S series phones. It is made with plastic back and frame and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass front. For improved protection, it offers IP67 dust/water resistance feature.
The phone’s display is super AMOLED technology that can produce 1080 x 2400 pixels (FHD+) resolution on a 6.7 inches large screen. The refresh rate on offer is 90Hz and the brightness can be tuned to max 800nits.
The device runs Android 11 (One UI 4.1) OS, which can be upgraded to Android 12. The device itself is powered by Snapdragon 720G, an octa-core processor which boasts a clock frequency of 2.3GHz. The processor is paired with Adreno 618 GPU. There is a variety of RAM and storage options of which the lowest and highest configurations are 6GB, 128GB and 8GB, 256GB, respectively. The storage can be upgraded via a micro SD card.
The Samsung Galaxy A72 sports a quad camera setup containing one 64MP OIS and PDAF enabled main lens, an 8MP telephoto lens (also has OIS and PDAF, and 3X optical zoom in addition), a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. LED flash and HDR support is also available. The camera can capture a high-res 4K, 30fps videos or 1080p, 60fps videos. The front camera is a high-count 32MP lens, with HDR and 4k, 30fps video shooting capabilities.
The phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery, chargeable via a rapid fast 25W USB Type-C charger. Miscellaneous features include fingerprint sensing (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, compass, and virtual proximity sensing.
The Galaxy A72 weighs 203g and comes in Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Blue colours.
