With the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 on the horizon, a fresh leak has emerged on the scene, giving enthusiasts a sneak peek into the design change long expected by prolific tipsters.
The leak suggests that these earbuds are expected to be launched alongside Samsung's flagship foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event rumoured to take place in July.
This aligns with previous suggestions that Samsung may introduce a design overhaul to its earbuds series later this year.
Galaxy Buds 3 design
Industry sources shared images of the Galaxy Buds 3's retail box, confirming that Samsung will include stems in the design, similar to the Apple AirPods Pro.
The box also carries AKG branding, indicating Samsung's continued partnership with the Acoustics Engineering company.
There's also a "Made in China" tag and specifications of the earbuds on the back of the retail box. This backs up an earlier claim made by a user who shared an alleged screenshot of the Samsung Members app featuring new iconography of the earbuds on social media.
This development stands parallel with an earlier speculation made by a seasoned tipster Evan Blass who suggested that both, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, might incorporate stems — an element of design which has remained omitted from Samsung's flagship earbuds till now.
Galaxy Buds 3 specifications
The alleged retail box of the Galaxy Buds 3 also hints at the battery life, reported to offer up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge.
However, the box does not mention whether it is with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) turned on or off. If it is the former, it will be better than the battery life of its predecessor — the Galaxy Buds 2 — which promises up to 5 hours of music playback with ANC on.
The Galaxy Buds 3 retail box leak claims to offer quick charging, providing one hour of playback from just 10 minutes of charging. The earbuds will also come with adjustable secure-fit earhooks and offer sweat and water resistance.
