Samsung Galaxy M42 5G was released on May 1, 2021, which comes with a super AMOLED infinity-U display of 6.6 inches which can produce a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.
The snapdragon 750G 5G powers the phone with its octa-core processor that claims a clock count of 2.2GHz. The Adreno 619 GPU is also paired with this chipset. The device supports two RAM options, 6GB and 8GB, with 128GB of micro SD card expandable storage. The OS running onboard is Android 11 (One UI 3.1), which can be upgraded to Android 13.
The Galaxy M42 5G sports a quad camera setup including a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and two 5MP lenses for macro images and depth sensing, respectively. Video quality is a crystal clear 4K, 30fps, with options for 1080p, 30fps and 720p, 480fps. LED flash and HDR features are also available. The selfie camera boasts a 20MP lens, with HDR and 1080p, 30fps video capturing.
The phone draws its power from a market standard 5,000 mAh Li-Po battery, chargeable via 15W UBS Type-C cable. Other features include: fingerprint scanner (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, compass, and virtual proximity sensor.
Samsun Galaxy M42 5G comes in the following two colours: Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray.
