Samsung is pushing a fresh Galaxy Watch update for its Wear OS smartwatches. This is as part of the April 2025 software package, and it adds small yet significant changes to benefit users worldwide.
Samsung's Galaxy Watch series is well-liked for fitness tracking, health monitoring, and smart capabilities such as call and text functionality. The watches operate on Google's Wear OS, providing users with access to apps and Google services directly from their wrist.
Samsung's Galaxy Watch update
The new update began with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra last month. Now, it's being rolled out to older models as well. The complete list of smartwatches receiving this update is:
- Galaxy Watch 7
- Galaxy Watch Ultra
- Galaxy Watch 6
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 5
- Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 4
- Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
The update can be downloaded by users via the Galaxy Wearable app. The update size is approximately 400–500MB, depending on the device.
Although the update is large in size, the modifications are straightforward. Samsung claims the update enhances system stability and security. The company has included enhanced protection and corrected bugs that may slow down the smartwatch.
Nevertheless, it still employs the March 2025 security patch, not the current one.
