Samsung’s next foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, may not bring big changes to its cameras, according to new leaks. The foldable phone series, known for its stylish design and compact foldable screen, has gained popularity over the years.
However, Samsung’s foldable phones are facing slow sales, and the company seems to be making fewer upgrades to keep costs down.
According to GalaxyClub, rumours claimed that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera, just like last year’s Flip 6.
Moreover, the 10MP selfie camera inside the punch-hole display is also expected to remain the same. This means the Flip 7 will have nearly identical camera hardware to the previous model, with no major improvements.
Samsung is launching two Flip models this year, but the leaked details apply to the main version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Meanwhile, the company is dealing with lower demand for foldable phones, as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 did not meet sales expectations. This has reportedly led Samsung to cut back on its 2025 foldable phone plans.
Despite these challenges, Samsung foldable phones are not going away. Reports suggested that the company will introduce four new foldables in 2025, including a cheaper Galaxy Flip model.
While the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may not see major camera improvements, Samsung is still committed to foldable phone innovation and expanding its lineup in the coming years.
