
Samsung is ready to unveil its new premium smartwatch: the Samsung Galaxy Watch X. The company is likely to reveal the substitutes to the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup at its Galaxy Unpacked event in July, along with the new Samsung foldable mobile.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Ring was hinted at by Samsung at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) in February. Moreover, it’s likely to be released at the event.
Samsung might launch a new high-end tier in its smartwatch timeline. Whereas, it was earlier anticipated to opt for the “Ultra” title like Apple’s smartwatches. A report confirmed that it could launch as Galaxy Watch X.
According to the report, the Galaxy Watch X would be a more valuable variant of the Galaxy Watch 7, resulting in robust use cases. Apple has an identical offering in the form of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 that stands at the summit of its smartwatch group.

The Galaxy Watch X is anticipated to feature water resistance up to 100m, double that of Samsung's current flagship smartwatches. Moreover, Samsung might release enhancements in battery life on the upcoming Galaxy Watch X. Currently, the Galaxy Watch 6 offers up to 40 hrs battery time on a single charge with the always-on display (AOD) turned off.
The report indicates that Galaxy Watch X would offer up to 100 hours of battery life. Whereas no detail about price is unveiled, the company anticipates that the Galaxy Watch X would be expensive compared to the company’s current prices.
The Galaxy Watch X is expected to have a new square-shaped frame, a third circular button and an arrangement of health sensors.
It will purportedly hold the rotating bezels and will boast a 1.5-inch circular display. The smartwatch is claimed to measure a size of 47 x 47.4 x 16.4mm.
