Samsung, a South Korean tech giant, released its fan edition smartwatch worldwide, the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE on June 13. The company confirmed that the users could purchase the Galaxy Watch FE this summer but the particular date is not confirmed yet.
Moreover, it spotted that the availability of multiple features of the smartwatch will vary by region.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE specifications
The Galaxy Watch FE is featured with a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with 396 x 396 pixels resolution, powered by a dual-core Exynos W920 chipset and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartwatch boasts several health and activity sensors to monitor heart rate, EGC, and blood pressure.
In addition, the users can utilise this smartwatch to function their smartphone cameras and access their digital wallets. The aluminium body of the watch is available in three colour options: Black, Pink Gold and Silver. It is offered in a single 40mm size option and has interchangeable one-click bands.
The smartwatch sports 1.5GB RAM with 16GB of onboard storage space. The HR Alert feature helps identify abnormally high or low heart rates. Whereas, the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature lets users measure atrial fibrillation which could be indicative of a heart disorder.

Moreover, the watch can measure blood pressure and track the user's sleep cycle. It also comes with more than 100 preset workout modes. Additional features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE involve support for Samsung Wallet which lets users access digital wallets and saved documents like identification cards.
In addition, it allows users to control the paired smartphone's camera through the Camera Controller. The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE is boasted a 247mAh battery supporting WPC-based wireless charging.
Connectivity options of the watch include LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo and NFC. The watch measures 39.3 x 40.4 x 9.8mm in size and weighs 26.6 grams.
The Bluetooth-only version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE is set to be available for purchase at $199.99 (approximately INR 16,700) beginning on June 24. The LTE version of the watch cost at $249.99 (approximately INR 20,900). Moroever, the watch will be on sale later this year.
