
The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has officially announced updated National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) fees for Pakistani nationals living in Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
According to NADRA, the NICOP is a crucial document for overseas Pakistanis, providing a range of benefits and services to facilitate their connection with Pakistan.
Family members of overseas Pakistanis living abroad are also eligible to obtain the NICOP, which provide them with numerous advantages.
NICOP benefits for overseas Pakistanis
The NADRA NICOP offers the following key benefits to holders:
- Visa-free entry to Pakistan: NICOP holders can enter Pakistan using a foreign passport without requiring a visa.
- Recognition as a Pakistani citizen: Confirms the holder’s status as a Pakistani citizen.
- Property transactions: Cardholders can buy and sell properties in Pakistan.
- Banking services: The NICOP allows holders to open and operate bank accounts in Pakistan.
- Pakistani passport: NADRA cardholders are eligible to apply for a Pakistani passport.
- Voting rights: Cardholders can exercise their voting rights while in Pakistan.
NADRA NICOP fees in Pakistan
The fees for getting a NICOP in Pakistan are as follows:
- Normal category: Rs5,500 (approx. $20, based on an exchange rate of $1 = Rs278).
- Urgent Category: Rs8,300 (approx. $30).
- Executive Category: Rs11,000 (approx. $40).
NADRA NICOP fees in Arab countries
NADRA services, including NICOP issuance, are available at Pakistani embassies in Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The fees are charged in the local currency of the host country, ensuring ease of access for applicants.
On the other hand, for those applying through the Pak-ID app from Arab countries, the fees for NICOP are:
- Normal category: $20 (approx. Rs5,560).
- Urgent category: $30 (approx. Rs8,340).
- Executive category: $40 (approx. Rs11,120).
