Citing Smart Pikachu, a proficient tipster, TechJuice revealed that the Xiaomi 16 series will debut around a month ahead of the Xiaomi 15's launch, which in the past has always launched in the month of October.
In light of Xiaomi's usual release timeline, a regional launch in China will likely be precede the global one, when it will arrive in markets like India and Europe.
Xiaomi 16 specs and features
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 16 is its battery upgrade, moving from a 5,400 mAh cell in the Xiaomi 15 to a robust 6,800 mAh. To back this massive battery, the Xiaomi 16 will feature 100 W wired charging, charging the device full within 30 minutes.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 16 is expected to debut Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which gives CPU performance a 25% boost and a 30% to the GPU, compared to its predecessor.
Coming to the design of the Xiaomi 16, it will likely boast a flat, bezel-less OLED display, with sizes ranging from 6.36 to 6.73 inches.
