Xiaomi has recently unveiled the HyperOS 2.1 software in China for its top-end smartphone models. The Chinese tech manufacturer is reportedly planning a global debut of HyperOS 2.1 by February 2025.
According to XiaomiTime, HyperOS 2.1 is expected to step into the global market by February this year. Some previous inputs indicated that the new version may go global in early 2025.
The source suggested that Xiaomi has developed the global HyperOS 2.1 build. While the company may start releasing the firmware by the end of February.
Other reports suggested the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will probably be the first model in the global market to get HyperOS 2.1. An internal HyperOS 2.1 build has been spotted as OS2.0.100.0.VNAMIXM. Based on the code, it is for Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
HyperOS 2.1 is set to provide smooth connectivity even without the internet. It has an advanced home screen with more intuitive user interface (UI) segments and a cleaner Control Centre.
One may also observe a new level of interconnectivity during file transfers.
In terms of camera capabilities, HyperOS 2.1 will optimise certain existing features to give improved photography. It brings improved album features, smarter artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and a powerful gaming experience.
