Samsung is expected to introduce camera improvements to older flagship models with the upcoming One UI 7.1 update.
This follows the rollout of One UI 7, Samsung’s latest custom skin based on Android 15, which debuted with the Galaxy S25 series. This major update introduced a range of cutting-edge camera features.
New camera features for older samsung devices
Reports suggest that One UI 7 will bring several advanced camera upgrades to older Galaxy models, including customisable filters, virtual aperture, Log Video support, and more.
One of the key enhancements in the Galaxy S25 lineup is the addition of six new filters. Users can refine the look of their images by adjusting settings such as colour temperature, saturation, and contrast.
Additionally, customisable filters will allow users to create and save their own templates.
In the Pro model, Samsung has introduced Log Video format support to enhance dynamic range and provide greater flexibility in post-production.
Which Samsung devices will receive these features?
Samsung is reportedly planning to integrate these enhancements into the following high-end models with the One UI 7.1 update:
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24+
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
This update is expected to enhance the photography experience on older flagship devices, bringing them closer to the capabilities of the latest models.
